Monde Selection
2017 - Now
Since 1961 Monde Selection has been evaluating the quality of culinary, health and beauty culture all over the world. Each product is tasted and tested individually on numerous parameters carefully selected according to the product category and the expectations of the consumers. Every year, hundreds of evaluation sessions are organised during which the juries take the time to taste and analyse each product individually.
Monde Selection’s tasting sessions are based on organoleptic parameters applicable to each product such as the taste, visual aspect, aftertaste, mouthfeel and odour. The evaluation sessions are organised over a period of four months during which our juries taste a limited number of products per day to preserve their palate.

International Taste Award
2013, 2018-2020
At the Taste Institute, taste evaluations are done by independent professional taste experts. Products are tested by large panels amongst more than 200 Chefs & Sommeliers from the most prestigious European culinary associations. Jury members are selected based on their proven experience in tasting and in giving constructive feedback. Their talents are recognised in Chef & Sommelier competitions or by renowned institutions such as Le Guide Michelin or Gault & Millau.
Tasting process: Products are tested blindly, following a systematic approach based on the International Hedonic Sensory Analysis method. Products are prepared & served according to a strict protocol ensuring maximal objectivity. It is not a competition, each product is evaluated & scored on its intrinsic organoleptic quality.
The Sensory Evaluation results are presented in a PDF report that provides you with a quantitative overview of the performance of your product. It includes the overall score of your product and a detailed score on each of the 5 sensory criteria:
Singapore Taste Award
2019-2020
At the Singapore Taste Award, products are evaluated by professional juries in Europe. Winning an award at the Singapore Taste Awards is an honour and a symbol of a product with remarkable quality, granting it prestigious recognition in Singapore and around the world.
Tasting
The tasting takes place in Europe (London or Paris). The sending address of the samples is given to you immediately after your registration. If you are outside of Europe, you can send your samples to USA or Singapore (by request after registration).
Jury
The jury is made up of professional buyers (importers and distributors), journalists and food and beverage specialists. Some of our members directly select products for the largest Asian distributors and more than 15,000 stores.
Superbrands Malaysia
2005-2006
Participation in Superbrands is by invitation only, and offered to the most outstanding brands in their field. Attaining Superbrands status strengthens a brands position, adds prestige and reassures consumers and suppliers that they are buying the best brand in its category.
Superbrands elects a “Superbrands council” which selects brands and awards them the title of “Superbrands”. Some commentators have questioned the value of ranking brands that operate in different markets against each other.
FSSC 22000 Certified
FSSC stands for Food Safety System Certification 22000. It is similar to ISO 22000 in terms of a management system. But, FSSC 22000 includes additional requirements and is recognised by Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
ISO 9001 Certified
ISO 9001 is defined as the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organizations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
HALAL Certified
Malaysia Halal standard has been recognised internationally and has gained trust from countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) as the leading halal standard among Muslim countries. Also, Malaysia has more than 40 years of experience in the development of halal certification.
